Bishkek, Jan. 19, 2018 / Kabar /. The Bishkek Mayor’s Office did not agree on a peaceful march in honor of protecting women's rights, the press service of Human Rights Movement Bir Duino-Kyrgyzstan reported.
The march was planned to be held from the monument of Urkuya Saliyeva to Ala-Too Square. However, the municipality considered that such an event could create inconveniences for the capital’s citizens.
"We recommend conducting the event near the monument of Urkuya Saliyeva without holding a march," the Bishkek Mayor’s Office responded.
Tomorrow at 3:00 p.m. activists will gather near the monument of Urkuya Saliyeva within the framework of International Campaign International Women's March to support the rights of women in the world.
