The bromance is alive and well! Former US president Barack Obama took to Twitter to wish Joe Biden a happy birthday with his own hilarious meme celebrating their special bond, and the internet couldn't handle it.

In a message celebrating the 75th birthday of the former vice president on Monday, 20 November, Obama tweeted a photo of Biden grinning and pointing while Obama gave his State of the Union address before Congress in 2014.

"Happy birthday to Joe Biden, my brother and the best vice president anybody could have," Obama wrote.

Obama and Biden's storied "bromance" has captivated millions in the last few years with the duo's interactions and moments, which were captured by photographers, turned into hilarious memes. The politicians have previously joked about their unique friendship in the past as well.

Last year, Biden wished Obama on his birthday by posting a photo of two friendship bracelets with the names "Joe" and "Barack" on them. This year, Biden wished Obama a happy birthday by describing the former president as a "gift" to him and the US.

Naturally, the internet erupted with joy over the president's choice of birthday wish this year. While many pleaded for the two to come back saying "we need you now more than ever", others urged Biden to run in the 2020 presidential race.

"He finally made his own meme," one Twitter user wrote. "I miss the Obama/Joe friendship memes so much it almost hurts."

"What class looks like. Would be nice to bring some of that back to our leadership," Fareness founder Scott Wainner tweeted.

"FYI: Barack Obama's birthday wish tweet to Joe Biden has gotten more likes (1 Million) than all of Donald Trump's tweets last week, despite all the paid Russian bots!" one person commented.
