Project ROAR Ribbon Cuttings to Be Held at Peru State April 19 and May 3

Press Release

Peru State College and its Foundation will be hosting two ribbon cuttings to commemorate the opening of two of the Project ROAR buildings.

The openings will celebrate the first new construction on campus in over 40 years.

On Saturday, April 19, a ribbon cutting will be held for the Diamond Building at the Centennial Complex at 3 p.m.

The Diamond Building provides locker rooms for the baseball and softball teams, along with offices, and training facilities – something which those teams have not had since they began playing.

The baseball team will be hosting MidAmerica Nazarene while the softball team is hosting Baker. Both doubleheaders begin at 1 p.m. and the ribbon cutting will take place between the action.

May 3 will be the ribbon cutting for the Recreation Dome at the Oak Bowl Stadium. The official grand opening of the dome will take place at 3 p.m.

Prior to the Recreation Dome ribbon cutting, there will be alumni football activities which will begin at 1:30 p.m. Following the ribbon cutting the Bobcat football team will host their spring game.

The public is invited to attend either or both events. Both facilities will be available for tours.

Admission is free at the events.
