She expressed gratitude to Eva Pavlova, the First Lady of the Czech Republic, for the invitation.

Zelenska also acknowledged the efforts of the Czech Health Technology Institute, the Czech government, Health Minister Vlastimil Válek, as well as Poland, Denmark, and the European Commission for their continuous support. She also praised the creation of such a unique initiative as the Ukraine Facility.

Zelenska noted that the Czech Republic was the first country to use this program, leading the restoration of six hospitals in Ukrainian regions.

“And today, our countries have signed memoranda of medical partnership at the conference,” she stated, emphasizing that this cooperation model, introduced two years ago at the Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen in Kyiv, is an innovative approach to international healthcare collaboration.

According to Zelenska, Ukraine has already signed 62 memoranda with 22 countries, and she expressed gratitude that the Czech Republic will become the 23rd partner in this initiative.

“This partnership saves hundreds of lives every day while also enriching the experience of all participants,” she stated, noting that as Ukraine benefits from international advancements, the world, in turn, will benefit from Ukrainian innovations.

According to the Ministry of Health, 83% of people are experiencing stress, with 78% attributing it directly to the war.

The First Lady emphasized that each day of the war inflicts immense pain and trauma on Ukraine. At the same time, peacetime health challenges persist, including oncology, critical conditions, and epidemics.

People with chronic conditions who had health issues before Russia’s invasion also require urgent attention.

Zelenska emphasized that the workload on Ukrainian doctors and hospitals is ten times higher than in neighboring countries—and possibly the highest in the world.

In this regard, she expressed gratitude to the Czech Republic the Czech Republic for standing with Ukraine on the path to saving people.

As reported by Ukrinform, Ukraine and the Czech Republic signed a Joint Declaration to establish a Ukrainian Unity Center in the Czech Republic. The agreement was formalized between Ukraine’s Ministry of National Unity and the Czech Republic’s Ministry of the Interior.
