LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT)—Local celebrities take their talents to the ballroom and a walk to save lives, plus a relaxing way you can celebrate mom this Mother’s Day weekend in this week’s Weekend Roundup.

DANCING WITH THE LEXINGTON STARS

This saturday marks the 13th year of Dancing with the Lexington Stars!

The event is the Rotary Club of Lexington’s biggest fundraising event.

It pairs local celebrities with professional dancers as they raise money and try to take home the mirror ball trophy.

This year, there will be seven celebrity competitors, including WKYT’s very own Mariah Congedo, who will be performing a salsa dance to “Despacito.”

The money raised from the event benefits the Baby Health Service, a free clinic that serves uninsured children in central Kentucky.

If you would like to make a donation, you can go to the Rotary Club’s website.

2025 CENTRAL KENTUCKY HEART WALK

You can take part in the 2025 Central Kentucky Heart Walk on Saturday.

The walk raises awareness of cardiovascular disease, the number 1 killer of all Americans. Every dollar raised goes to research to prevent heart disease as well as education and training.

WKYT has a team walking to help save lives. We hope you’ll join us out there.

You can still register online.

The walk begins at 9 a.m. at Keeneland.

SIXTH ANNUAL ‘FOODSTOCK’

Get your taste buds ready, downtown Somerset will have over 40 different food and spirit vendors at their sixth annual “Foodstock.”

The free, family-friendly festival will also have a music contest, live art activations, a drum circle, and a children’s area.

If you would like to take part in the festivities, head to Fountain Square on saturday.

“Foodstock” is from 11 to 8.

MOTHER’S DAY SPRING MARKET

If you’re looking for a way to celebrate mom, Wildside Winery in Versailles has you covered!

The Mother’s Day Spring Market will give your mom the opportunity to unwind as she enjoys live music, wine and all kinds of arts and goods from local vendors.

The event is free.

If you would like to take your mom, the fun begins Saturday and Sunday at noon.
