In an extraordinary turn of events, two lucky Lotto players scooped the €500,000 top prize in the Daily Million Plus draw within almost 24 hours of each other.

In Saturday night's 9pm draw, a fortunate punter scooped the jackpot after purchasing a Quick Pick ticket on the day of the draw. The winning numbers were 2, 4, 8, 9, 14, 26 with the bonus number 33.

The National Lottery is urging all players to check their tickets carefully, and to help with this, they've revealed exactly where the winning ticket was purchased. It has been confirmed that the top prize was won by an online player based in Co Kilkenny.

Just one day earlier, another player secured the same €500,000 top prize in the 2pm Daily Million Plus draw. This lucky punter bought their winning Quick Pick ticket at Mountbellew Post Office in Co Galway.

These two wins bring the total number of Daily Million Plus top prizes claimed so far this year to four.

National Lottery spokesperson Darragh O'Dwyer said: "What a weekend for our Daily Million Plus players with two top prize wins of €500,000! The first was won in Co. Galway in Friday’s 2pm Daily Million Plus draw with Mountbellew Post Office selling the winning ticket. This was followed in quick succession by an online player in Co. Kilkenny, who scooped the top prize in Saturday’s 9pm Daily Million Plus draw."

The National Lottery has confirmed that a notification and an email has been sent to the online player. The top prize winner is advised to make contact with the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to claim their prize in Lottery Headquarters.
