65% of Indiana corn; 67% of soybeans harvested

The USDA says harvest was back in full swing this week thanks to dry and cool conditions throughout the state.

Farmers were able to make progress on corn and soybean harvest as fields dried out, but some farmers in northern and central Indiana reported corn crop damage because of high winds.

Winter wheat planting remained ahead of schedule, with 69 percent of the crop planted and 43 percent emerged.

In Indiana, corn is 65 percent harvested and soybean harvest is 67 percent complete.

Farmers also hauled grain and planted cover crops this week.
