FIFA World Cup is getting closer to its next round, with only 12 matches left from the group stage, it getting clear who is making it to the next round. With two group F matches yesterday, all teams of the group played their last match on the group stage. USA vs Iran and Wales vs England, which was won by USA and Eng, respectively. Both of the winners have now qualified for the Round of 16. Christian Pulisic hit a goal in the 38th minute to give the USMNT a lead that turned out to be match-winning. US president Joe Biden also congratulated the team.

President Joe Biden called the press to announce the team’s victory and the qualification for the next round.

He said, “USA! USA! That’s a big game, man. When I spoke to the coach and the players, I said, ‘You can do this.’ They went ‘eh.’ They did it, God love ‘em. Anyway, just thought you might want to hear.

The president also called the manager of USMNT ahead of the game to wish them luck. He said, “You guys, I know you are the underdog, but I’ll tell you what man, you got some of the best players in the world on your team, and you are representing this country, and I know you are gonna play your hearts out, so let’s go shock ‘em all…

USA’s journey to the round of 16

Team USA joined the FIFA World Cup in a difficult group with England, Wales and Iran, however; they shocked the world with a top-notch game against England and then followed by Iran. Now that they have defeated Iran, they have guaranteed their spot in the next round of the tournament.
